In the Equities market, it is necessary to borrow the assets we wish to sell. In other words, to open a short position, the assets must be borrowed before the trade is executed.
To facilitate this borrowing process, BlackArrow provides the Short Locate tool. To access it, go to Trading > Short Locate.
By clicking on the Asset field it is possible to select the asset that is going to be located.
In the columns available in the tool, we can track the Time the locate was made available, the Available Quantity, the Price per Share, and the Total (Price * Quantity). After selecting the desired option, simply click "Send" and the borrowing will be executed.
To monitor the locates already made, just select the "My Locates" tab.
