The Fast Trading and Scalping Ticket tools were designed to provide faster trade execution and position management within the Profit platforms.
To open the order entry panels, go to the Trading menu:
Scalping Ticket:
Designed for short-term trades, the Scalping Ticket includes Buy at Market and Sell at Market buttons, as well as Bid and Ask order entry buttons. It also provides options to Close positions, Invert positions, and Cancel Orders:
In the center section, there are three default quantity options available for order entry on the selected symbol.
To configure different quantities, go back to the Trading menu and select Settings.
Under the Default Settings tab, use the search field to add the symbol to the list.
Enable the Use Default Quantity option and adjust the values:
These quantities will be saved for the symbol across all trading tools.
Also select the account and, if applicable, an OCO strategy with predefined exits.
To configure OCO strategies, open the Trading Bracket Editor and click the gear icon:
Order Entry Buttons
Buy at Market and Sell at Market: Orders are executed immediately at the best available price with available liquidity.
A Buy Ask order executes at the current best ask price. A Sell Bid order executes at the current best bid price. These are aggressive orders, as they consume liquidity from the opposite side of the order book.
A Buy Bid order is placed at the current best bid price. A Sell Ask order is placed at the current best ask price. In this case, these are limit orders resting in the order book, since there are no matching orders available yet.
Close Position: Closes all open positions for the selected symbol.
Invert: The Invert button closes the current position and opens a new one in the opposite direction using the same quantity.
Quick Order Entry
The Quick Order Entry provides the same trading functionality as the Scalper Order Entry, while also including additional features such as a field to enter quantity directly in the panel and a display showing the symbol’s results:
Another difference is the auxiliary Properties window:
You can monitor open orders and current positions for the selected symbol directly from the order entry panel by enabling the Order List and Position options:
To select a different symbol, click the ticker symbol in the top tab of the order entry panel and follow the steps shown in the next window:
