To configure and export your symbols using the RTD or DDE link, select Real-Time Export from the main menu:

Under the Assets tab, add the instruments you want to export and click Add. The selected symbols will appear in the right-hand side:
Under the Attributes tab, select the columns you want to display in your spreadsheet:
In Settings, configure the export parameters.
Select which platform will use the DDE link (Microsoft Excel or LibreOffice) or the RTD link (Microsoft Excel), then choose your preferred settings:
You may need to enable macros, external data updates, and security permissions in Excel, or run Excel as Administrator, in order for the data feed to work properly.
Below are possible messages that may appear in Excel cells during data export:
- Invalid Symbol — The symbol could not be found.
- Invalid Attribute — The attribute (the second string sent by Excel) does not match a valid data type for the symbol.
- RTD Disabled — The RTD feature is disabled. To re-enable it, open the main menu and select Real-Time Export (RTD/DDE). Under the Settings tab, enable the Enable Data Transfer option and click OK.
- RTD Paused – Select One of the Linked Tabs — The cell is linked to a tab that is not currently visible (active).
- Window Closed — The window linked to the cell (Time & Sales or Order Book) was closed by the user.
- Invalid Tool — The tool ID provided does not correspond to an active (open) window in Vector.
- Invalid Row — The row parameter is outside the allowed range
[0, 100]or is not an integer. - Invalid Requested Information — When the attribute parameter is
INFO, the requested information description does not match a valid option:ATV— Current ticker of the tool;TAB— Current visible tab of the tool.
- Invalid Command — The function signature is incorrect. For example, when the asset or attribute is not provided, or extra parameters are added to the function.
Important: Due to RTD/DDE technology limitations, only one real-time export session can run at a time.
