The Hand tool allows you to move the chart freely within the boundaries of the chart window, making it easier to navigate through price history. To use it, click and hold the left mouse button on the chart and drag it to the left or right. This allows you to view prior or subsequent data on the time scale.
Alternatively, use it to move the chart up or down to adjust the spacing of the price scale:
Double-click to center the chart.
The mouse scroll wheel, previously used in Arrow mode to move the chart along the time scale, functions to adjust the zoom while in Hand mode:
To activate this feature, simply select the Hand Tool from the Drawing Tools toolbar on the side of the platform:
You can also add this feature through the Studies menu.
Or, use the Ctrl key to activate the feature, if configured in the Chart Settings:
