The chart periodicity, also called the chart timeframe, defines how price data will be grouped in the view. Changing this interval allows you to analyze the asset from different perspectives, such as short, medium, or long term.
The choice of chart timeframe in BlackArrow directly influences the analysis. Smaller intervals show more detail and are common in short-term trades, while larger intervals help identify broader trends.
How to Change the Chart Timeframe
To modify the periodicity of a chart, follow the steps below:
- Access the desired chart
- Locate the periodicity field in the top bar of the chart
- Click on the currently displayed time
- Select the desired interval
The change will be applied immediately to the chart.
Another option is to type the desired time directly into the asset search on the platform:
Available Types of Periodicity
Profit allows you to use different types of chart timeframes, such as:
- Time: Seconds, minutes, daily, among others
- Ticks: Price variation
- Range
- Quantity (Volume)
- Trade
The availability of some periodicities may vary depending on the platform version.

Hotkeys
It is also possible to change the periodicity using hotkeys, depending on the platform configuration. To do this, go to the Settings menu (gear icon), Hotfeys tab, Chart option, as shown in the image:
